Transformers Return

For many twenty and thirty something’s the Transformers were a big part of growing up. Having been an incredibly popular show in the 1980’s, many boys of that generation loved watching the show, playing with the toys, and pretending they were transformable robots. The ruggedness and imagination involved with the Transformers led to it being a very popular show with characters such as Optimus Prime being incredibly well known. The popularity of the show transformed a tremendous franchise and sales of everything from videos, to clothes, to toys did remarkably well.

For those of us who grew up with the Transformers it is great to see the release of the new Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie and the memories it is sure to bring back. The hope is that this movie will hook a whole new generation of Transformers fans and in addition to getting a new generation of kids to watch the movie is sure to do well as those of us who are a bit beyond our childhood years seek to rekindle the memories. This movie should revive the creative and sheer power that was embodied by the Transformers. A new take on old heroes will be very appealing to the many adults who grew up watching Transformers.
